Painting in Lightroom

Another photo from Oahu Hawaii. This was a pose that I liked but unfortunately, came out a little blurry. Not wanting to give up on it, I started messing around with it in Lightroom and was able to create an effect kind of like some of the painting filters in Photoshop.

To achieve this, I pushed the clarity slider all the way up, bumpted the vibrance a little and then brought the overal saturation down. I made a small adjustment on the tone curve by bumping up the darks, and then moved on to the sharpening noise reduction pane. The final effect was achieved by cranking the amount of sharpening up to 132 and then the luminance slider under noise reduction all the way up.  With that, I might consider printing this on canvas.
