Old burned out building on Oahu

Just returned from the island of Oahu in Hawaii and will be doing a series of posts as I go through the photos and videos I took. I figured I would start with something not directly related to palm trees and sandy beaches (though I’ll have those as well!).

This building is next to Crawford’s Convalescent Home in Haleiwa which is on the north shore of Oahu. The story is that it used to be a state home for wayward boys but James Crawford bought it in 1954 and turned it into a nursing home. A fire totally gutted the building in 2002. Slowly but surely, the island is taking it back over.
