Winter in the Snoqualmie Valley

When you ask most people about Seattle, they will say it rains a lot here. That’s true but what is also true is that Washington has some of the most beautiful scenery you will ever see. I am lucky enough to live in a little town called Duvall which is just about 30 minutes east of Seattle and about 12 miles from Microsoft. To get here from Seattle, you have to cross the Snoqualmie Valley. It is named for the long, winding, and peaceful Snoqualmie river that runs through it.

On this day in January 2012, I was driving across the valley and saw all the fog and clouds settling in. This is to me, the best thing ever in the valley. I love how the fog settles in low to the ground. This was just at sunset and the colors were amazing.
